An Update…

Pictures from the FOT & LGD in Orange Beach last week

We just returned from 8 days with family and friends in Orange Beach, AL. After sharing a house with 9 other people for that time, it feels pretty quiet here at home.

I have a moment (hopefully) to myself so I wanted to share an update!

A lot has happened this year – it’s hard to believe it’s already October.

I’ll start with the really BIG update, which is that we have a baby!

Our Sweet Girl
Tiny Hands

Becoming a parent has been the most amazing and exhausting experience – our daughter amazes me every day. She’s learning and changing SO much. I’m beyond blessed to have this tiny person in my life, and certainly I am appreciating my own mother on a different level than I had before!

We’ve traveled with her a fair amount already; from FL to Houston, San Jose, Alabama, and we’ll see where we end up next.

We visited San Jose earlier this year (I’d never been) and then Pebble Beach – with an afternoon spent in Carmel By The Sea. The weather was incredible – especially compared to the heat and humidity of Houston!

Aside from our west coast trip and then Orange Beach just last week, we’ve also traveled to and spent a decent amount of time in the Tampa area.

One trip there was for my sister’s wedding, which was not actually in Tampa, but took place on Lake Tavares near Mt. Dora, FL.

Highly recommend 1921 in Mt Dora

We’re a getting close to the middle of October and working on making plans for the rest of 2023. Right now, that’s just camping on Lake Livingston, Thanksgiving in Houston, then a Rothwell family visit right at the end of December.

I’m not ready to start thinking about next year, but I do know that it will be here before we know it!

Hope you enjoyed the update….ta ta for now!
